Canadian artist Ember Swift is an internationally touring musician and songwriter, and founder of the independent label Few¹ll Ignite Sound. Originally from Toronto, she has spent the past few years making her home base in the magnetic city of Beijing, China. She has released 10 albums and 1 DVD project since 1996 and continues to have a loyal fan base across many national borders. ³11:11² is her 11th album, aptly named because she is releasing it this year: 2011, her 11th in Œ11.

Having taken the time to learn Mandarin Chinese, immerse in the culture, as well as to develop a this new body of work that settles more naturally into the cultural surroundings of her new adopted home, Ember Swift will be bringing her music back to the ³Dos Kolegas² stage in Beijing for a CD Release performance on September 2, 2011 and then continuing on to release her CD throughout North America this fall. Ember is known for her unique, jazz-influenced guitar playing and elastic vocals. She will be joined by her four-piece Beijing-based band in Beijing and then by Kelly Zullo on percussion and backing vocals in North America for a duo tour. Styles will include jazz, gypsy, rock, funk, pop, folk and blues as well as lyrics in both languages.
