Jonathan Andrew is a songwriter and acoustic performer based in Red Bank, New Jersey. Active on the Jersey original-music scene since the late '90s--with The Angry Monsters, Souls' Release, and, currently, Mike Ferraro and the Young Republicans--Jonathan first stepped to center stage to air his own compositions in late 2003. With a style based in classic pop songcraft, yet informed by indie sensibilities from the late '80s to the present, Jonathan aims to communicate with his audience--specifically yet concisely. As likely to feature a repurposed-for-acoustic NoFX tune as a faithful Springsteen cover, Jonathan's shows are evocative celebrations of the power of rock and roll in its simplest form. Arrivals & Departures, Jonathan's debut release, was nominated for Outstanding EP at the 2010 Hoboken Music Awards. The Ropes--recorded with full-band accompaniment by the Men of Rock--will be released in September, 2011.
